SUMMARY:Introduction to Zentangle®
DESCRIPTION:Note: This class is a prerequisite to all other Zentangle classes. \n“Introduction to Zentangle” will be taught by Laurel Storey\, CZT® (Certified Zentangle Teacher®)\, and will provide a beginner with a background in the history of Zentangle\, introduce them to the basic steps of the method\, and expose them to associated vocabulary and tools used. Students will be immersed in learning tangle patterns as they create actual Zentangle paper “tiles” and will leave with a clear understanding that\, “Anything is possible one stroke at a time.”® \nAn “Introduction to Zentangle” supply kit will be provided to registered students when they arrive at class. Students may keep this kit to continue their Zentangle practice at home\, and should bring it to any future in-person advanced “next level” classes. \nIntroductory classes run for approximately 2.5 to three hours.

The Steampunk Seahorse class offered by Laurel Storey\, CZT at in-person sessions in Windsor\, Ontario is inspired by Annie’s original design and shared with permission. \nIn this fun Zentangle-Inspired Art (ZIA) class students will create a whimsical seahorse incorporating elements of both steampunk and Zentangle® patterns. \nNo prior experience is required – registration is open to all on a first come\, first served basis. All tools and supplies will be provided and/or available for use in class.

SUMMARY:Ten Thousand Tangles Creative Community Tangle Club
DESCRIPTION:Join Laurel Storey\, CZT® (Certified Zentangle Teacher®) for a fun\, informal opportunity to socialize and tangle together! \nTen Thousand Tangles Creative Community Tangle Club (“Tangle Club” for short) gatherings are normally held once a month on a Sunday afternoon. These sessions are less structured than regular Zentangle® and Zentangle-Inspired Art classes\, and are open to all regardless of previous Zentangle experience. Participants are given the freedom to explore the month’s project or theme\, with direction and/or instructions provided by Laurel\, or work on their own individual tangle project if desired. \nAll required tools and supplies for the monthly project are normally provided by Laurel for use during the Tangle Club session. Participants may also wish to bring their own selection of preferred items including Pigma Micron pens\, Gelly Roll pens\, graphite pencil\, white charcoal pencil\, tortillions\, coloured pencils\, watercolours or watercolour pencils and brush\, etc.
