SUMMARY:Ten Thousand Tangles Creative Community Tangle Club (ONLINE)
DESCRIPTION:Join Laurel Storey\, CZT® (Certified Zentangle Teacher®) for a fun\, informal opportunity to socialize and tangle together! \nTen Thousand Tangles Creative Community Tangle Club (“Tangle Club” for short) ONLINE gatherings are normally held once a month on a Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time\, hosted on Zoom\, with supply and login information sent to registered students. These sessions are less structured than regular Zentangle® and Zentangle-Inspired Art classes\, and are open to all regardless of previous Zentangle or creative experience. Participants are given the freedom to explore the month’s project or theme\, with direction and/or instructions provided by Laurel\, or work on their own individual tangle project if desired. \nSupplies are NOT included in the cost of online Tangle Club gatherings. Students will be given a full list of suggested supplies (including alternative options)\, and may opt to either provide their own or purchase supplies online from Laurel for local (Windsor\, Ontario) pickup.

DESCRIPTION:Note: Introduction to Zentangle provides the foundation for all of Laurel’s Zentangle and Zentangle-Inspired Art (ZIA) offerings and is an ideal starting point for new students. While completion of an introductory class is recommended\, students are welcome to register for any of Laurel’s classes regardless of prior experience. \nIn this Zentangle-Inspired Art (ZIA) class taught by Laurel Storey\, CZT® (Certified Zentangle Teacher®)\, students will study and explore different types of pattern fragments and how they behave when tiled together in various ways. Using accessible printmaking tools and a selection of surfaces\, students will look at four different categories of fragments and learn how to combine and manipulate them to create unique patterns\, coming away with an almost limitless supply of creative possibilities to apply to their Zentangle and ZIA artwork. Required supplies will be provided and/or available for use in class.

While completion of an introductory class is recommended\, students are welcome to register for any of Laurel’s classes regardless of prior experience. \nIn this Zentangle-Inspired Art (ZIA) class taught by Laurel Storey\, CZT® (Certified Zentangle Teacher®) (originally developed by Deb Bowyer\, CZT as part of the CZT : AE 2020 Masterclass)\, students will build on their Zentangle practice\, working with a variety of tangle patterns\, fragments\, and techniques to create a beautiful tan Zentangle Zendala (4-5/8″/117mm round) paper tile in a Renaissance colour palette. \nONLINE classes are hosted on Zoom\, with supply and login information sent via e-mail to registered students. Supplies are NOT included in the cost of online classes. These sessions are less structured than regular Zentangle® and Zentangle-Inspired Art classes\, and are open to all regardless of previous Zentangle or creative experience. Participants are given the freedom to explore the month’s project or theme\, with direction and/or instructions provided by Laurel\, or work on their own individual tangle project if desired. \nAll required tools and supplies for the monthly project are normally provided by Laurel for use during the Tangle Club session. Participants may also wish to bring their own selection of preferred items including Pigma Micron pens\, Gelly Roll pens\, graphite pencil\, white charcoal pencil\, tortillions\, coloured pencils\, watercolours or watercolour pencils and brush\, etc. \nP.S. Ask Laurel for your own “Frequent Tangler” punch card – attend 9 Tangle Clubs and get the 10th for free!
